Many Zimbabweans identify as Christian without maintaining consistent church attendance, reflecting a gap between religious identity and religious practice that is common globally.
The 17.0% attending every Sunday and 16.2% attending even more frequently represent the deeply committed core of Zimbabwe’s churchgoing community, for whom church is not just a Sunday obligation but a central part of weekly life and social connection.
